Shine Development Foundation (SDF) was established in 2021. It is an independent, non-political, not-for-profit and equal opportunity civil society organization, registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under the Companies Act, 2017.
Our goal is to reduce unemployment, raise income levels and improve the standard of living by equipping people with practical skills to secure quality jobs and build sustainable livelihoods, while supporting education, health, safe drinking water and sanitation in the communities we serve.

Who does SDF work with?
We work with underserved and marginalized communities in urban, semi-urban and rural areas of Pakistan, with a particular focus on women, girls, low-income families and communities that are hard to reach.
What kind of work does SDF do?
Our work covers four thematic areas: vocational training and skills development, scholarships and educational support, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and health services, including mobile health units and ambulance services.
